Farming on the Estate continues to make an important contribution to the rural economy, our landscape and the environment.
The Estate farms approximately 1,000 acres in-hand, the focus of which is very much responsible management and sustainability whilst continuing to farm commercially. Most of the land is set for arable production with the focus being wheat, barley, oilseed rape and beans, however there are areas of parkland which are grazed.
The remainder of the farmland on the Estate is in the hands of our tenant farmers, many of whom have lived and farmed the same holdings for generations.
